Dieting and You
For those of you wishing to loose a few pounds, I just want to
point out that diet and exercise will make a dramatic change in your weight.
Yes, it takes a bit of effort and planning, but the results can
be dramatic.
The Basics
Due to health reasons, I'm not on a "fad" type of diet. I'm
limited to 1800 calories per day, plus its low sodium. You might
think that would be pretty tough to follow, but its not.
I used to eat one BIG meal a day, eat until I was literally
stuffed, and then fall asleep. Now, I eat three well-balanced meals
per day, plus a snack before bedtime. When I first started the
diet, I thought I'd be hungry all the time, however, I was
completely wrong about that!
I'd advise anyone to research a potential diet, and above all:
Check with your physician! There are some medical conditions that
require special diets.
Here's another issue to consider: Its not in your best interest to
try and lose a lot of weight fast. Lose weight slowly and
consistently, over a period of time.
Don't forget to exercise, as well. A nice walk in the morning
(or evening) will you to help burn calories, get your circulatory system
functioning better, and overall just make you feel better, with more
energy than you though you had.
