Lost in Space
60's Vintage Sci-Fi Television
The CBS series premiered on September 15, 1965. It was very
futuristic for its time, and apparently rather expensive to
produce, but was an immediate success.

The world's first space family was selected to colonize a
planet in the Alpha Centauri star system.
The head of the family was Professor John Robinson (Guy Williams),
he was joined by his wife, Maureen (June Lockhart), and their children,
Judy (Marta Kristen), Penny (Angela Cartwright),
and Will (Billy Mumy). Major Don West (Mark Goddard) was their
spaceship's pilot.
There was twist, as the flight was sabotaged
by Dr. Zachary Smith (Jonathan Harris), with the use
of the now-famous, arm-flailing robot. Evil-doer
Smith's objectives failed and the ship, Jupiter 2, became:
"Lost in Space." The group enountered many aliens on
different worlds and had some pretty incredible adventures.
It also seems the kids had a tendancy to be the "heros!"
The robot made friends with Will, and was always his protector,
warning him with the famous line, "Danger Will Robinson!"
After a 3-season run, CBS canceled the show in 1968.
My favorite character on the show was Penny (Angela Cartwright).
I've recently done some research, and she's a very talented and accomplished photographer/artist.
You can see her work at her website. One of the fascinating things
I noticed is that, like me, she's interested in Holga Photography.
