Toys From Santa's Workshop History
Made Throughout the Year by Santa's Elves

Traditions vary as to exactly where Santa's home and workshop are really located. For the children
in the US and Canada, he lives at the North Pole, for other children his home is usually given as
Korvtunturi in Finnish Lapland or Delecarlia in Sweden. Lapland is the most common home for Santa
and is used as the address where children can mail him their Chrsitmas wish lists. Finnish Lapland
is where the world renowned "Santa's Kingdom" is located. Here children from around the world can
visit the "real" Santa, ride in a sleigh pulled by reindeer and see the Elves Workshop.
For most of the year Santa lives with his wife Mrs. Claus and his elves who serve as his toy
production staff. The elves work all year long making the toys for Santa Claus to deliver to good
litle boys and girls around the world on Christmas Eve. This is the busiest night of the year for
Santa Claus. He flies around the world in a sleigh pulled by flying reindeer from house to house
to deliver all the presents.
While Santa and his elves are busy at work making the toys, Mrs. Claus stays busy keeping track of
today's most popular toys. She makes sure that Santa knows what each child wants and she helps take
care of the elves. Even though Santa and his elves stay busy making the toys and the pace sometimes
gets frantic at the workshop, Santa and the elves do not forget how hard it is for every girl and
boy to wait for the next December 25th to arrive.
