The Associated Press has - apparently - RECYCLED news regarding an audio tape, said to be of Osama Bin Laden, originally aired on January 19th by the Arab News Network Al Jazeera. It was also reportedly re-posted on some Islamic websites.

What's Worse?

Not only did the AP recycle the story, but so did Matt Drudge, who put it at the top of HIS webpage. Odd, because he didn't use the space for his "usual" bashing of Madonna, as he does on his (ha ha) radio program. Major networks followed suit, as well. I witnessed the "shock" value, relayed by Monday's CBS Evening News, for example!

In the tape, reported to have been "re-examined," Osama Bin Laden vowed never to be captured alive, saying his Al-Qaida terror network would launch a fresh attack on American soil.

Thank goodness at least SOMEONE saw through this manipulation. Alex Jones' (infowars.com) comments on the "always questionable" Bin Laden tape(s) were that the mainstream media simply recycles and re-applies old propaganda "like a band aid," to keep the "sheeple frightened," and will "lessen the dissent" when the Patriot Act is renewed. It also strengthens White House blocks to any NSA spying investigation.
