Crockpot Cooking - Cowboy Casserole
I've always liked the ease and simplicity of crockpot cooking. What little prep work, can usually be handled the night before. That way, you can toss the ingredients into your cooker the next morning, go about your day, and come home to hot meal.
Cowboys, on the trail, ate quite a few "one pot wonders" from the chuck wagon. The bill of fare almost always included meat, potatoes, onions, and beans. In this day, a hearty one pot casserole is still satisfying, and easy to prepare.
I've added my version of a "Cowboy Casserole" to the main database.
