The Death of a Gonzo Journalist
A man who is said to have written the truth when others were afraid to, Gonzo Journalist Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, is no longer with us.
I was saddened to learn that Thompson is reported to have fatally shot himself in the head at the age of 76.
He was a very prolific writer for Rolling Stone Magazine, as well as author of one of my favorite books, "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas."
Thompson, from the 60's and 70's era of the media, was a "journalist's journalist," in my opinion.
