Diabetic Medication Tip

I'm a diabeteic, and we recently developed some houshold plumbing problems that temporarily drained my budget. Not having insurance that covers my medication costs, I would have been unable to refill my Avandia prescription.

If you get in a bind, here's something that should work for you, as it did for me. I telephoned my physician, requesting a week's supply of "samples." Not only did they helpfully provide me with enough to get me through, they actually provided me with well-over a month's worth! Keep in mind, this is a practice that you should NOT abuse. Its an emergency type of measure.

My major point in this story is, if you're a diabeteic, make sure you ALWAYS take your medication, and if you get in a pinch, contact your doctor.
