Another Iron Chef Re-Make

I have always been an extremely huge fan of the original "Iron Chef" television programm, aired on Food TV, produced by Fuji TV in Japan.

The original series was well done, extremely campy, and in - in my opinion - can NEVER be reproduced. It was a true classic!

There was a brief American re-make, MC'd by William Shatner. As much as I like Bill, he really stunk in that short-lived program.

Now, based upon the format of my favorite Japanese cult sensation, comes the continuation of the legend of "Kitchen Stadium," and the famed "secret ingredient."

Each week, world-class chefs are expected to battle legendary Iron Chefs of America: Bobby Flay, Mario Batali, and Masaharu Morimoto (from the original Iron Chef). Alton Brown will be commentator, Mark Dacascos will serve as "Chairman."

Iron Chef America premieres Sunday, January 16 at 9pm ET/PT.

Will the tradition continue?
