Cooking with Dried Herbs
Because I don't have an herb garden anymore, I've found it rather difficult to find the fresh herbs I regularly cook with. I've ended up using many dried herbs (the ones you can purchase
off the shelf of your local market).
Here's a few tips:
The dried herbs have a tendancy to be a bit
stronger in flavor than the natural ones, so you might want to cut down the amount used in your recipe.
Also, its helpful to crush and rub the dried herbs in the palm of your hand, before adding them to your recipe. This helps release their
flavor.
