Strange Radio Signal Baffles Ham Operators

Its been the discussion on many late night Commercial radio talk shows, and its been discussed on the ARRL (Amateur Radio Relay Laegue) website...It MAY be a bit technical for you, but even non-techies admit that its just plain weird: An unidentified signal that's been showing up on the 40-meter phone band on or about 7238 kilohertz has amateur radio operators and others in the US and Canada scratching their heads. Although it resembles a steady carrier, a closer inspection indicates the intruder is actually a series of closely spaced signals. officials, so far, can't explain it.
