Knoxville, Tennessee Pirate Radio Station Busted
Officials from the Federal Communications Commission were accompanied by U.S. Marshals, when they closed down Knoxville, Tennessee's so-called "First Amendment Radio Station," and confiscated all its equipment. The illegal
broadcasting operation, called a pirate radio station, did not have a federal license and operated in a secluded area of Knox County out of a trailer, that reportedly once served as a crack house. The F.C.C had previously visited the station on several occasions and warned it to cease operations.
